According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Israel has been conducting military operations in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. These actions have resulted in the deaths of 72,772 Palestinians, primarily women and children, and injured 172,707 others. The infrastructure of the Strip has been devastated, with 90% destroyed and reconstruction costs estimated at $70 billion.
Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 880 Palestinians and injured 2,605 others. During this period, the bodies of 776 slain Palestinians have been retrieved. In the past 24 hours, Gaza hospitals have received the bodies of three more Palestinians, along with three injured individuals.
Additionally, over 10,000 people remain unaccounted for, believed to be trapped under the debris of their homes throughout the Strip. The ongoing Israeli operations have forcibly displaced nearly two million residents from the Gaza Strip, with most seeking refuge in Rafah, near the Egyptian border, marking the largest mass displacement of Palestinians since the 1948 Nakba.
