TEL AVIV: Far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has sparked controversy by calling for the destruction of the villages of Bruqin and Kafr ad-Dik, located north of the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Smotrich made his intentions clear in a tweet on Thursday, stating, "Just as we destroyed Rafah, Khan Yunis, and Gaza, we must destroy Bruqin and Kafr ad-Dik." Smotrich further emphasized that these villages should resemble Shujaiya and Tel al-Sultan in the Gaza Strip.
