Gaza: Israeli colonists set fire to a Palestinian home early this morning in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh reported that a group of armed colonists infiltrated the area at dawn under the protection of Israeli soldiers. They set fire to the home of Mohammad Abdul Rahman al-Jabareen in Khirbet Umm Dureit, a hamlet east of the village of al-Tuwani.
The attack is part of an escalation of violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta. These incidents include assaults on residents and their property, arson attacks, land seizures, and attempts to restrict Palestinians' access to their lands.
Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta are also facing increasing pressure from Israeli forces and colonists. This includes demolitions, movement restrictions, and the establishment and expansion of colonial outposts in the area.
