Colonists Attack Turmus Ayya to Block Farmers from Olive Harvest

Turmus Ayya:Terrorist colonists attacked the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, on Tuesday in an effort to prevent local residents from reaching their lands for olive harvesting.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency, local sources reported that dozens of colonists were involved in the attack, attempting to block access to lands located behind the Apartheid Wall. This incident aligns with the commencement of the olive harvest season, a time when farmers frequently face violence from colonists.

These attacks often involve the theft of produce, destruction and burning of trees, and seizure of crops, all aimed at preventing farmers from accessing their lands and harvesting their produce. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission noted that colonists carried out 647 attacks last month, with the highest concentration in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate. Other affected areas include Nablus, Hebron, Jenin, Bethlehem, Tulkarm, and Jerusalem.
