Rafah: A child was injured on Monday by Israeli forces' gunfire while returning from school in the al-Mawasi area of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, in a new crime targeting civilians, particularly children.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources said the child was transferred to a hospital to receive treatment, noting that the gunfire was opened by occupation military vehicles positioned north of the city of Rafah.
Earlier, Israeli occupation aircraft launched a series of airstrikes targeting various areas of Rafah, accompanied by heavy gunfire from military vehicles, causing widespread fear among residents and damage to residential areas.
