Qabatiya: A cameraman was injured by Israeli army gunfire Tuesday evening in the town of Qabatiya, located south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank. The incident occurred during a raid conducted by Israeli occupation forces. The injured individual, identified as Al-Araby TV cameraman Rabi Munir, sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen while covering the unfolding events.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the precise nature of Munir’s injury remains unknown. Tuesday saw an escalation in military operations by Israeli occupation forces across various cities in the occupied West Bank. These operations resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians and involved intense armed clashes between the Israeli forces and local residents.
The military activities included the assassination of two Palestinian men by an Israeli occupation drone near the Martyrs’ Triangle in Qabatiya. The deceased were identified as Muhammad and Shawqi Asasousi. WAFA had reported that the Israeli military operation in
Qabatiya had been ongoing for several hours, with additional military reinforcements being dispatched to the town’s entrances.
The ongoing Israeli offensive in the occupied West Bank, which has been intensifying since the conflict in Gaza last year, has resulted in the deaths of over 760 Palestinians, including 18 women and 166 children. Over 6,500 injuries have been recorded, according to statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Additionally, significant infrastructure damage has been reported in cities like Jenin, Tulkarm, Nablus, and Tubas. In September, Israeli media indicated that Israel now views the West Bank as a battlefield amid the escalating conflict.
