Accra:Gaza Strip The death toll resulting from the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip has surged to 74,555, with 175,727 individuals reported injured since the onset of hostilities on October 7, 2023.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, medical sources have confirmed that hospitals in the region have received 11 deceased individuals in the past 24 hours. This number includes 8 newly recorded fatalities and 3 bodies that have been recovered, alongside 35 newly injured individuals.
The sources further detailed that since the ceasefire on October 11, a total of 1,559 fatalities have been recorded, with 5,608 people injured, and 845 bodies recovered. It is also noted that numerous victims remain trapped under rubble or stranded on roads, as ambulance and rescue teams face challenges in reaching them.
