Hebron:Israeli occupation forces have intensified military measures in Hebron, displacing nearly 4,000 Palestinian civilians. The forces have closed off areas in the city, affecting the daily lives of thousands of residents.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the occupying forces detained two Palestinians traveling to the Ain Deir Bahha area and four young men who were assaulted in the closed-off area in the city center. Additionally, the forces blocked the alternative entrance to the al-Fawwar refugee camp with earth mounds and seized a vehicle belonging to the Hebron Municipality, assaulting its crew distributing aid in the Jallada area.
The military actions have led to the sealing off of the Jallada and Deir Bahha areas, where families have been forcibly evacuated. The closures have resulted in extensive property damage and have hindered the delivery of essential supplies. Entrances to Hebron city, its towns, and refugee camps, including Idhna, Bani Na'im, Halhul, al-Fawwar, and al-Arroub, have been blocked, denying civilians passage.
The Hebron Governorate reports that occupation forces have assaulted civilians, damaged vehicles, and used Palestinian-plated vehicles to obstruct roads and intersections. Since the offensive began, 619 families have been affected, with 3,971 Palestinians displaced and 85 detained. Riyad Khamis, media spokesperson for the Hebron Follow-up, Support and Relief Committee, noted the increasing number of affected families and displaced individuals, highlighting the deteriorating humanitarian conditions across the governorate.
