Three Palestinians Killed in Israeli Shelling and Gunfire in Gaza Strip

Khan Yunis:Gaza Strip Three Palestinians were killed and others, including a woman, were injured on Wednesday evening due to Israeli shelling and gunfire across the Gaza Strip. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the area since dawn on Wednesday to five.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, two Palestinians were killed and a woman injured when an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. The attack resulted in the vehicle catching fire, killing Ahmad Raja Al-Shaer and Basel Nabil Qeshta, who were inside.

Earlier in the day, Saddam Rami Al-Za'anin was killed and others were injured by Israeli forces' fire in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. Additionally, Israeli artillery positioned south of Khan Yunis shelled western areas of Rafah, while demolition-related explosions were carried out by Israeli forces east of Gaza City and Khan Yunis.

Since the military escalation began on October 7, 2023, Israel's actions have resulted in the deaths of 74,392 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 175,440 others. The destruction has devastated 90% of the Strip's infrastructure, with the reconstruction cost estimated at $70 billion. Following the Gaza ceasefire agreement effective from October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 1,501 Palestinians and injured 5,323 others, with 838 bodies recovered during this period.

Furthermore, at least 10,000 individuals are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes. The conflict has led to the forceful displacement of nearly two million people, mainly into the southern city of Rafah, marking the largest mass exodus of Palestinians since the 1948 Nakba.
