Beit Amarin:Olive pickers in the Al-Naqab area, part of Beit Amarin lands north of Nablus, were attacked by colonists today and forced to leave their lands at gunpoint.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency, local sources reported that the colonists threatened the olive pickers with weapons, compelling them to vacate the area, which is classified as Area A.
The Al-Naqab area has reportedly been subjected to frequent attacks by colonists, who often prevent farmers from accessing their lands. These assaults have been on the rise with the onset of the olive harvest season, during which farmers face threats such as the theft of fruit, cutting down and burning of trees, and seizure of crops. These actions aim to deprive farmers of their harvest and access to their lands.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that settlers carried out 647 attacks last month, with the highest concentration in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate at 506 attacks, followed by Nablus with 342, Hebron with 272, Jenin with 202, Bethlehem with 187, Tulkarm with 152, and Jerusalem with 149.
