Nablus:A Palestinian was killed and 14 others were injured during an attack by Israeli colonists on olive harvesters from the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus. The incident occurred on Wednesday on lands extending between Burqa and Sahl Ramin, east of Tulkarm.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Ministry of Health identified the deceased as Ali Hassan Yasser al-Bazzari, 44. Local sources reported that several injured individuals were transferred to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm and Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, where one of the injured was later pronounced dead. Among the injured was a woman.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that its crews treated five individuals injured in the attack, including two with live-fire wounds in critical condition and three who were beaten. The Red Crescent also reported that Israeli forces assaulted ambulance crews and volunteers in Burqa and detained three paramedics and a volunteer, seizing their ambulance keys before eventually releasing them.
Eyewitnesses recounted that a large group of colonists, accompanied by Israeli forces, attacked the farmers while they were harvesting olives, opening fire and assaulting them. The settlers allegedly prevented ambulance crews from reaching the injured and threatened to shoot anyone approaching, complicating the evacuation efforts.
