Hebron:The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs reported a significant increase in violations at sacred sites during September. The Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed 26 incursions by occupation forces and colonists, while the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron faced 150 bans on the call to prayer, alongside a complete closure for six days under the pretext of Jewish holidays.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, The Ministry highlighted that extremist groups are intensifying efforts to change the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque by pushing for colonist incursions on Saturdays. These groups have also conducted prayers and rituals at Bab al-Rahma Cemetery, which included blowing the shofar over Muslim graves under tight security.
Talmudic activities within Al-Aqsa have increased, with practices such as epic prostration and public prayers occurring more frequently. Additionally, occupation forces have maintained strict measures around Al-Qibli Prayer Hall and the Dome of the Rock to limit worshippers' access during Friday prayers.
The Ibrahimi Mosque remains partially closed, with its eastern entrance blocked and windows barricaded. This has been the case since early 2025, coinciding with repeated incursions by Israeli ministers. Furthermore, other mosques have been targeted, including the Imad al-Din Zengi Mosque in Nablus, which was set on fire by colonists who also defaced it with racist graffiti. The new Madma Mosque faced an attack with tear gas, leading to suffocation cases among worshippers. In the Jericho Governorate, the Al-Du'aisat prayer hall was demolished.
