Israeli Colonists Attack Olive Harvesters in Beita

Beita:Israeli colonists attacked farmers in Beita, south of Nablus, on Saturday morning as they harvested olives in the Qammas area. This incident followed an attack the previous day on the Jabal al-Arma area, where colonists opened live fire.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Israeli forces detained several young men and solidarity activists who had come to assist the farmers with their olive harvest.

The attacks on Palestinian farmers have increased with the start of the olive harvest season. These incidents include assaults on farmers, preventing them from accessing their land, theft of olive crops, and the destruction or burning of olive trees.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that last month, Israeli forces and colonists conducted 2,051 attacks against Palestinians, their land, and property. This includes 1,404 attacks carried out by Israeli forces and 647 by settlers, amid a broader trend of escalating violence and targeting of Palestinian communities.
