Beita:Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian olive farmers in the Jabal Al-Arma area, east of Beita, south of Nablus. The colonists fired live ammunition at the farmers as they were harvesting olives, though no injuries were reported.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the attack occurred amid increasing colonist violence throughout the occupied West Bank. In September, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) noted that colonist attacks had impacted 275 Palestinian communities in 2026, nearly equaling the 279 communities affected in 2025‚the highest annual figure since such incidents began being recorded in 2006.
During the 2025 olive harvest, OCHA documented 178 colonist attacks between October 1 and November 30. These attacks resulted in casualties, property damage, and included assaults on farmers, theft of crops and harvesting equipment, and damage to olive trees and saplings.
