Palestinian Ministry Condemns Deadly Attack in Yasuf

Yasuf:The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned an attack by Israeli colonists in Yasuf village, central West Bank, which resulted in the death of 51-year-old Mashhour Shaher Yassin and injured another Palestinian.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency - WAFA - English, the ministry characterized the incident as a coordinated effort between Israeli colonists and occupation forces, labeling it a violation of international law and humanitarian principles.

The ministry highlighted that Yassin's killing occurs amidst what it describes as an escalation in organized colonist violence, allegedly supported by Israeli forces. It claims these attacks are part of a broader Israeli policy permitting violence against Palestinians, including killings and assaults.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations by providing protection for Palestinians and taking immediate actions to halt colonist violence in the occupied West Bank. It also urged the activation of accountability mechanisms, including sanctions against settlement leaders and colonists, and a ban on dealings with settlements and their associated entities.
