Israeli Colonists Raze Palestinian Land in Umm Safa

Umm Safa:Israeli colonists have razed Palestinian-owned land in the village of Umm Safa, located northwest of Ramallah.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency - WAFA - English, the head of Umm Safa Village Council, Marwan Sabah, reported that bulldozers operated by the colonists leveled land in the Wadi al-Zeitoun area and near the cemetery south of the village.

Sabah also stated that Israeli forces have surrounded the home of local resident Mohammad al-Obaiyat for five consecutive days to pressure him into leaving, as his house is close to a settlement outpost. Additionally, residents have been prevented from accessing the village cemetery.

He further explained that settlers had previously seized hundreds of dunums of land in the southern part of the area, where they established a settlement outpost on land owned by Palestinians two months ago. Sabah warned of a plan to displace residents to construct a large settlement, noting that six settlement outposts have been created in the village since October 7, 2023.

The village of Umm Safa has experienced repeated attacks from colonists from nearby settlements and outposts on Palestinian land, resulting in significant property damage and limiting residents' access to their lands.
