Khan Yunis:A Palestinian was killed and several others were injured during an Israeli bombardment on Wednesday evening in al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis.
According to Palestine News & Information Agency - WAFA - English, the Israeli attack targeted individuals on Salah Ad-Din Street in the town, resulting in the death of a 33-year-old and injuries to others, including a minor.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has conducted a military operation on the Strip, resulting in the deaths of 74,023 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injuring 175,142 others. The onslaught has devastated 90% of the Strip's infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated at $70 billion.
Following the Gaza ceasefire agreement on October 11, 2025, Israel has continued its operations, killing 1,422 Palestinians and injuring 4,996 others, with 834 bodies recovered during this period.
Additionally, at least 10,000 people remain unaccounted for, believed to be trapped under the rubble across the Strip.
The conflict has led to the forced displacement of nearly two million people, mainly to Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
