According to Palestine news andInformation Agency, the attack on Abdul Rahim Hajj Mohammad's home was part of ongoing assaults carried out by colonists from an illegal outpost established east of al-Mughayyir. These assaults have targeted Palestinian residents, their homes, and property.
Confrontations broke out at the entrance of al-Mughayyir between young Palestinian men and the colonists, who retreated towards the outpost. During these clashes, colonists reportedly opened live fire at the young men in the town's eastern part.
The town of al-Mughayyir has experienced repeated attacks by colonists, including raids, military measures, and the closure of its entrance. On September 26, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission documented an attack involving colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, on an ambulance and the theft of agricultural equipment from a sheep farm west of the town. This incident also included the raiding of a home and the firing of tear gas canisters.
Israeli occupation forces had previously closed the main entrance to al-Mughayyir. Amid these actions, colonists have been present in areas east of the town, carrying out provocative acts on Palestinian-owned land, further escalating tensions against residents and their property.
