Ramallah: Israeli colonists on Monday set up a new tent atop Mount Al-Qarni' in Deir Abu Meshaal, northwest of Ramallah. Footage circulating on social media showed colonists breaking into the area in the village and erected a tent to serve as a nucleus of a new colonial outpost.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this development came several months after colonists attempted to establish an outpost in the same area. During the previous attempt, dozens of villagers managed to reach the site and dismantle the outpost, leading to clashes with Israeli occupation forces.
The village of Deir Abu Mashal has witnessed an escalation in attacks by Israeli colonists intended to take over large tracts of the village land over the past several months.
