Israeli Forces Demolish Homes and Structures in Masafer Yatta

Hebron: Israeli forces demolished tin homes, animal shelters, sheep pens, water wells, caves, and other structures in the village of al-Taban in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, media activist Osama Makhameh reported that Israeli forces conducted the demolition using heavy machinery. The forces prevented residents from removing their furniture and belongings before demolishing around 10 tin homes, sheds, sheep pens, water wells, caves, tents, and other structures belonging to the Abu Obeid and al-Hamamdeh families.

Makhameh added that the demolitions destroyed homes and essential property belonging to the residents amidst ongoing attacks against the people of Masafer Yatta. The area has faced a widespread campaign of demolitions and attacks by Israeli forces and settlers. These actions target homes, residential structures, sheep pens, and water wells, as part of a policy aimed at displacing residents from their land for settlement expansion and the establishment of additional settlement outposts.
