Gaza: Qatar condemned Israel's seizure of the Qalandia Vocational Training Center, operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in occupied East Jerusalem.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the move constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and challenges the international community. The Ministry warned that Israel's targeting of UNRWA aims to dismantle the agency and deprive millions of Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon of essential services.
The Ministry emphasized the need for the international community to take immediate action to protect UNRWA facilities and firmly confront Israel's measures to prevent catastrophic consequences.
Qatar reiterated its support for UNRWA, highlighting its stance in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to establish an independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
