Gaza: A Palestinian child was injured by Israeli forces' gunfire this evening in Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, the Jerusalem Governorate reported.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate said that the child sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder after Israeli soldiers deployed around the camp opened fire directly. The child sustained a minor injury.
The incident occurred amid ongoing Israeli escalation in Qalandia refugee camp and its surroundings, including the forced eviction and takeover of the UNRWA-run Kalandia Vocational Training Centre by Israeli forces, led by far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
