Israeli Forces and Colonists Erect Makeshift Structures East of Tubas

Gaza: Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by Israeli colonists, erected several makeshift structures east of the city of Tubas on Tuesday, raising concerns that they could serve as the nucleus of a new Israeli colonial outpost in the area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mukhlis Masa'id, head of the Yarza Village Council, reported that the structures were erected along the road leading to the Khirbet Yarza community, east of Tubas. This development has heightened fears among the local Palestinian population regarding potential land annexation and restricted access.

He further noted that colonists have also begun installing iron fence posts as a preliminary step to fence off hundreds of dunums of Palestinian grazing land. This action is expected to significantly limit Palestinian access, affecting the livelihoods of the local community dependent on these lands for grazing.
