Three Palestinian Citizens of Israel Stabbed in Tayibe

Gaza: Three Palestinian citizens of Israel were wounded in a stabbing attack in the central Israeli city of Tayibe. Among the victims, one man in his 30s sustained serious injuries, while another suffered moderate wounds.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, since the beginning of 2026, at least 147 Palestinian citizens of Israel have been killed, including at least three by Israeli police fire, five women, and three minors under the age of 18. This increase follows a record high in 2025, where 252 individuals lost their lives in 218 separate incidents. The data was reported by the Abraham Initiatives, a non-governmental organization that monitors violence among Palestinian citizens of Israel.

In response to the escalating violence, Palestinian citizens of Israel have organized protests in predominantly Palestinian towns and villages. These demonstrations highlight their grievances over the rising violent crimes affecting their communities and accuse the Israeli police of complicity and failure to provide adequate protection.

Over the past decade, the number of deaths among Palestinian citizens of Israel has increased roughly fourfold. Community leaders and activists emphasize that their demands go beyond addressing organized crime. They accuse the Israeli government and law enforcement agencies of neglecting Palestinian communities and, in some instances, enabling the conditions that allow violence to proliferate.

The increase in killings has persisted since National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, previously convicted of offences related to incitement to racism against Arabs, assumed office in 2023.
