Vice President Al-Sheikh Urges International Action to Protect Palestinians from Colonist Attacks

Gaza: Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein al-Sheikh held urgent contacts with a number of Arab countries and international states on Friday, calling on them to assume their responsibilities in protecting the Palestinian people from attacks by Israeli colonists and Israeli occupation forces.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, al-Sheikh said the contacts came amid escalating attacks by colonists and Israeli forces, most recently in the towns of Tell, Deir Jarir, al-Mughayyir, and Beit Furik, as well as other Palestinian villages and refugee camps. These incidents have involved killings, the burning of crops, livestock theft, and the cutting down of trees.

Al-Sheikh emphasized that the ongoing attacks represent an 'unprecedented assault on people, trees, and stones,' warning that their continuation could lead to serious consequences. He called on the international community to intervene urgently to protect Palestinians and work to halt the organized attacks carried out by Israeli colonists and occupation forces.
