Ramallah: The Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Farhan Haq, announced that approximately 40,000 Palestinians have been displaced in the West Bank since the beginning of 2025.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Haq reported that house demolitions conducted by Israeli colonists in the West Bank during the first week of May led to the displacement of 42 Palestinians, including 24 children.
Haq further stated that the Israeli occupation army, along with armed colonists who carry out attacks under the army's protection, continue their assaults in all cities across the West Bank.
He noted that these colonist attacks are aimed at Palestinians and their property, highlighting that Palestinians are the indigenous inhabitants of the area.
