Madrid: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S¡nchez on Tuesday condemned the Israeli Knesset's approval of a law allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, S¡nchez expressed his disapproval on his official platform on X, where he stated that the Spanish government condemns the death penalty recently approved by the Israeli Knesset. He emphasized that the measure is asymmetric and would not be applied to Israelis who committed similar offenses.
S¡nchez further criticized the legislation by stating, "Same crime, different punishment. That is not justice. It is a step closer to apartheid," underscoring the need for the international community to speak out against the law.
