Jerusalem: Three Palestinian civilians on Monday evening sustained injuries in a colonist attack in the Nkheilat al-Ka'abneh Bedouin community, east of Anata, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, it was reported that Israeli colonists attacked the community, leading to injuries among the civilians. There was no immediate information on the nature of their injuries.
The Governorate further stated that a convoy of Israeli army vehicles entered the town and the community; however, no arrests were made. Violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is common in the West Bank and is seldom addressed by Israeli authorities.
Such violence by colonists includes arson of property and mosques, stone-throwing, the uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on homes. There are approximately 1 million Israeli colonists residing in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
