Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the ongoing actions by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, specifically highlighting the recent shelling of a school that was sheltering displaced people. This attack resulted in the deaths of seven Palestinians and injured many civilians, which the OIC described as a violation of international humanitarian law. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the organization urged the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume its responsibilities to stop Israeli violations. The OIC called for a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian access, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. The OIC further stressed the importance of activating international criminal justice mechanisms to investigate the actions of Israeli officials involved in these crimes. They emphasized the necessity for accountability to ensure that those responsible do not evade punishment.
