Israeli Colonists Cut 40 Olive Trees and Attack Water Source North of Jerusalem

Jerusalem: Israeli colonists cut down approximately 40 olive trees owned by a Palestinian resident in the town of Mekhmas, north of occupied Jerusalem, early on Sunday morning, in a new attack amid ongoing violations targeting Palestinian land and property.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the colonists attacked the same area the previous day, where local residents suspect that unknown substances were placed in a water well used for irrigating agricultural land. Local youths intervened and confronted the colonists, forcing them to withdraw from the area.

The attack follows the demolition of a local park and sports field by Israeli forces earlier this week, which had been used by residents for recreational purposes. These measures are part of escalating efforts by Israeli occupation authorities and colonists to seize control over the area, which continues to experience systematic attacks and harassment.

Colonists have also established an outpost near the site, which serves as a base for planning and executing repeated assaults against farmers and their lands.
