Armed Colonists Block Shepherds from Grazing Lands in Masafer Yatta

Masafer yatta: Armed Israeli colonists chased a group of shepherds on Saturday, preventing them from accessing grazing lands in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. Local activist Osama Makhamreh reported that colonists pursued sheep herders in the Khirbet Janba area, effectively blocking their access to pastures.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a related incident occurred when colonists released their livestock near residential areas in the eastern part of the She'b al-Buttum community in Masafer Yatta. The colonists carried out provocative actions, further escalating tensions in the area.

In recent years, colonists, often under the protection of Israeli forces, have been harassing farmers and shepherds, preventing them from cultivating winter crops or accessing natural grazing lands. These actions pose a serious threat to the residents' ability to raise sheep, which constitute a primary, and often sole, source of income for communities in the area.
