Tubas: Israeli occupation forces detained approximately 100 teachers at the Hamra military checkpoint on Wednesday, obstructing their passage to schools in the Jordan Valley.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Azmi Balawneh, the Director of Education in Tubas and the Jordan Valley, confirmed the incident, highlighting the significant disruption caused to the educational process. He noted that teachers have been repeatedly denied access to their workplaces, severely impacting education in the region.
The checkpoints leading to the Jordan Valley have faced repeated military closures over the past two years, affecting various aspects of daily life, including the education sector.
