PM Meets European Parliament Delegation to Address Palestinian Issues.

Ramallah: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa received a delegation from the European Parliament in his office in Ramallah, where discussions focused on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories. The meeting took place amid an ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and escalating attacks by the occupation army and colonists in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized the significance of the European Parliament's backing for the international coalition to implement the two-state solution. He highlighted the need for adherence to the General Assembly's decision regarding the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which calls for an end to the occupation within a specific timeframe and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The Prime Minister urged the European Parliament to take tangible actions against colonists, citing these actions as violations of international law and significant barriers to achieving a two-state solution. He also addressed the urgency of opposing Israel's decision to ban UNRWA, which politically threatens the right of Palestinian refugees to return and exacerbates the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories. In the Gaza Strip, where over 70% of the population are refugees, UNRWA plays a crucial role in providing services in refugee camps and delivering relief and humanitarian aid during the ongoing conflict. Mustafa noted that alongside the conflict, Israel is conducting a financial campaign against Palestinians, including illegal deductions from Palestinian tax revenues. He acknowledged the support from Europe for Palestine and the Palestinian cause, underscoring the importance of strengthening partnerships and cooperation with the European Parliament and the European Union.
