Hebron:The number of Palestinian families impacted by the ongoing Israeli military actions in Hebron has surged to 488, according to local authorities. The hostilities, which commenced last Friday, have led to significant displacement and distress in various parts of the city.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the Hebron Municipality has reported a tripling in the number of affected families and individuals forced to flee since the initial day of the aggression. Approximately 3,171 residents have been compelled to vacate their homes, particularly in the Deir Bahha and Al-Jalda areas. Additionally, many more remain trapped in their homes as occupation forces have restricted their movement in nearby neighborhoods.
In response, the Follow-up, Support, and Relief Committee, operating under the Hebron Governorate, has started distributing essential supplies and aid to the displaced families. This initiative marks the beginning of a comprehensive relief effort, aiming to deliver necessary support to those in need. The Committee is working continuously, in collaboration with various institutions, to ensure the sustained provision of aid until the military operations conclude.
The Committee, which includes government bodies, non-governmental organizations, private sector representatives, and international entities, is tasked with evaluating and addressing the needs of displaced families and assessing property damage in the affected areas.
