WHO Highlights Urgent Need for Medical Evacuations in Gaza

Gaza: The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised alarms over the worsening health conditions in the Gaza Strip, reporting that over 15,600 patients are in dire need of medical evacuation for treatment beyond the region.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the WHO has detailed the gravity of the situation, revealing that more than 15,000 individuals have undergone limb amputations due to the ongoing conflict. The organization has called for increased vigilance against disease and viral outbreaks, attributing these health concerns to the deteriorating infrastructure and health conditions in the area.

The WHO has emphasized the urgent necessity of reopening medical corridors to facilitate patient access to specialized treatment centers and emergency medical care. The organization has warned that if these medical pathways remain closed and delays in providing necessary medical support persist, the humanitarian and health crisis is likely to escalate further.
