Ramallah: Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, received a high-level European Union delegation today in Ramallah. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the delegation included Christophe Bigot, the EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process; Stefano Tomat, Managing Director of the European External Action Service and Head of Civilian Operations; Andreas Papaconstantinou from the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations; Henrike Trautmann, Senior Advisor for Gaza Reconstruction and Director of Middle East Affairs; and Ambassador Alexandre Stutzmann, Head of the EU Mission to Palestine. The meeting, which was attended by Fatah Central Committee member and Presidential Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh, focused on the latest political developments and the humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian Territory. Discussi ons also centered on ways to enhance joint cooperation between the State of Palestine and the European Union.
