Cairo: Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh held separate meetings on Sunday in the Egyptian capital with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty and Head of Egypt's General Intelligence Service (GIS) Hassan Rashad. These discussions were attended by the Head of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service, Major General Majid Faraj.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during these meetings, al-Sheikh provided updates to the Egyptian officials on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause. The discussions were centered on strategies to consolidate stability across the Palestinian Territory and advance the transition to the second phase of US President Donald Trump's plan and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Additionally, the meetings aimed to enhance coordination and consultation between the parties to effectively address the challenges facing Palestine and the region.
