Vice President Al-Sheikh Condemns Smotrich’s ‘Rude’ Comments About Saudi Arabia

Ramallah: Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Al Sheikh, condemned on Monday Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s ‘rude’ comments about Saudi Arabia.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Vice President Al Sheikh expressed in a press statement his strong condemnation of Smotrich’s remarks concerning the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He criticized Smotrich’s comments for targeting Saudi Arabia, its people, and its civilization, which Al Sheikh noted has historically contributed significantly to global progress.

Al Sheikh further stated that Smotrich’s comments exposed a mindset he described as racist and outdated. He emphasized that such views have no place in contemporary civilized, humanitarian, moral, or political discourse. Al Sheikh underscored that Smotrich’s reproach of the Kingdom and its leadership is particularly unfounded given Saudi Arabia’s support for the Palestinian people amidst ongoing conflict and their pursuit of legitimate rights to freedom, independence, and statehood.
