Gaza: Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh received the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Palestine, Mahima Sikand, where they discussed bilateral relations and the latest political and security developments.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Al-Sheikh emphasized the historic friendship between Palestine and India, expressing appreciation for India's support of Palestinian rights. He briefed Ambassador Sikand on the ongoing Israeli aggression in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Al-Sheikh called for intensified international efforts to halt the aggression, ensure protection for Palestinians, and advance the two-state solution based on international legitimacy resolutions. Ambassador Sikand reiterated India's commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and supporting peace and stability efforts for an independent Palestinian state.
