Jerusalem: A Palestinian youth was killed on Monday morning after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near the separation wall in the town of Bir Nabala, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said in a brief statement that its crews in Ramallah transported the body of the youth from the vicinity of the wall near Bir Nabala to a hospital. The youth was identified as Nasr Za'al Ka'abneh, 20.
Areas adjacent to the separation wall in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem have witnessed repeated attacks by Israeli occupation forces, who open fire on Palestinians under the pretext of attempts to cross or approach the wall. Israeli restrictions prevent large numbers of workers from reaching their workplaces in Jerusalem and the 1948 territories, pushing some to take dangerous alternative routes to bypass the restrictions imposed on their movement.
The Jerusalem Governorate previously reported that the number of workers injured by Israeli forces' gunfire near the separation wall built on the lands of al-Ram town, north of occupied Jerusalem, rose to 39 since the beginning of 2026. It said that two workers were killed in May, namely Zakariya Qatousa and Imad Shtayyeh, after being shot near the wall.
The Governorate explained that these incidents are part of the ongoing targeting of workers in the area, noting that seven workers were killed in 2025 after being shot, assaulted, or falling from the wall while being pursued by Israeli forces.
