Update: Four Palestinians Injured by Israeli Forces’ Live Fire During Colonists’ Attack on Al-Mughayyir Near Ramallah

Gaza: Four young Palestinian men were injured by live ammunition fired by Israeli occupation forces on Sunday evening as colonists attacked the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, local sources reported.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, groups of colonists attacked the village and assaulted residents' vehicles, as Israeli occupation forces provided them with protection and fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at residents, shooting and injuring four Palestinians. Two sustained gunshot wounds to the thigh, another to the chest, and a fourth to the abdomen. They were taken to hospital for treatment.

Dozens of others also sustained injuries from rubber-coated metal bullets and suffered suffocation from tear gas. The sources noted that the colonists attempted to attack several homes, including that of Sha'ban Abu Aliya, while others approached homes on the western side of the village.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, the occupation forces and colonists carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinian citizens, their lands, and property in July. Of these, Israeli forces carried out 1,458 attacks, while colonists carried out 798.

The commission noted that the attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, with 260 attacks; Nablus, with 247; Jenin, with 190; Bethlehem, with 185; and Hebron, with 170. It said the figures reveal a clear coordination between the use of military force and colonists' terrorism, as the occupying army provides an environment of protection, support, and enablement that facilitates the expansion of these attacks and the consolidation of their outcomes into ongoing realities on the ground.
