Gaza: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that more than 376,000 Palestinians made their way back to the northern Gaza Strip between Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, OCHA highlighted that the returning population consists of diverse demographics: half of the displaced individuals are men, while women and children each make up a quarter of the total figure. This return movement has been documented through census points established by a working group comprising various organizations throughout the Strip.
The OCHA office identified several vulnerable groups among those making the journey back. These include pregnant or breastfeeding women, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, those suffering from chronic diseases or in need of urgent medical care, and unaccompanied minors. The statement emphasized that these groups faced significant challenges during their journey on foot.
