UN Highlights Dire Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza Amidst International Inaction.

Gaza: The United Nations has raised alarms over the severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, where Palestinian civilians are reportedly starving to death amid global inaction. The living conditions in the region have been described as deadly by the international body.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the United Nations emphasized that it is not responsible for finding an alternative to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza and the West Bank. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric, during a press conference, highlighted that the northern Gaza Strip has been under Israeli siege for nearly a month, urging the cessation of what he termed as crimes.

In discussing the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, Dujarric cited field sources reporting that approximately a thousand Palestinian homes have been demolished this year. This destruction has led to the displacement of over 1,100 individuals, with 40% of the displaced population originatin
g from East Jerusalem.
