Liverpool:UK Foreign Minister Ed Miliband reaffirmed his country's opposition to Israeli actions that threaten the two-state solution during his address at the annual Labour Party conference.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency, Miliband described the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank as 'a stain on the conscience of the world,' condemning the actions of the Israeli government.
He denounced what he termed as ethnic cleansing by colonist militias and alleged war crimes in Gaza. Miliband emphasized the UK's commitment to taking action against what he described as Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine.
In his speech, Miliband addressed the widespread concern regarding the plight of the Palestinian people and promised a tougher stance towards the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu. He conveyed his solidarity with those who have been moved and outraged by the suffering of the Palestinians.
