Gaza: Two Palestinian sisters were injured on Saturday after being attacked by Israeli colonists while picking figs from their land in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, local sources reported that the colonists attacked the sisters, Mona and Alia Mahmoud Hamed, aged 75 and 65, and subsequently took their mobile phones and vehicle keys. The sisters suffered bruises and other injuries as a result of the attack.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission recorded 2,256 attacks against Palestinians, their lands, and properties in July. Israeli forces accounted for 1,458 of these incidents, while colonists were responsible for 798.
The commission highlighted that the attacks were primarily concentrated in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorates with 260 incidents, followed by Nablus with 247, Jenin with 190, Bethlehem with 185, and Hebron with 170.
Additionally, the commission indicated that the figures illustrate the coordination between military forces and colonist violence, noting that Israeli forces provide protection and support, enabling colonists to increase attacks and solidify their presence.
