NABLUS: Two Palestinian children were injured on Saturday evening in an assault by Israeli occupation forces on the village of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to medical sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its medical teams treated a 15-year-old child who was shot with live ammunition and a 16-year-old who was beaten by Israeli soldiers in the village. Both children were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Hafez Saleh, the head of the village council, told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the village, firing live bullets and tear gas canisters, which led to violent confrontations between the soldiers and local residents. During the confrontations, the two children were injured.
