Tulkarem Governor Criticizes Israeli Decision to Prolong Aggression on Refugee Camps

Tulkarem: Tulkarem Governor Abdullah Kmeil stated that the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to extend the aggression on Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps until January 31, 2026, reflects a deliberate insistence on continuing this crime against the two camps and the governorate at large, as well as the ongoing systematic targeting of the Palestinian people across all areas.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Kmeil added in a press statement on Friday evening that this decision, along with other violations, constitutes a blatant disregard for international law and all international conventions and norms.

He explained that this extension only serves to prolong the crime against the camp residents, who have endured forced displacement, destruction of infrastructure, and the uprooting of families, resulting in severe suffering and extremely difficult conditions.

Kmeil called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take urgent action to stop this crime against Tulkarem governorate and its camps, to hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes, and to end this continuous barbaric aggression.
