Jerusalem:Severe traffic congestion was reported today as road closures were implemented by Israeli forces to facilitate the movement of colonists during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
According to Palestine news andInformation Agency, the closures included the Wadi al-Rababa intersection in the Silwan neighborhood, which coincided with the time students were heading to school, leading to significant traffic jams in the area.
Additionally, closures were put in place on Bab al-Asbat Street towards Bab al-Rahma Cemetery and Bab al-Maghariba. These restrictions are expected to affect several roads leading to the Western Wall, coinciding with collective Jewish rituals and prayers, further worsening traffic congestion and hindering resident movement in the Old City and neighboring areas.
