Temple Groups Urge Reopening Al-Aqsa to Colonists on Saturdays

Jerusalem: Israeli Temple groups today called for a protest in occupied Jerusalem next Thursday, August 27, 2026, demanding that Al-Aqsa Mosque be reopened to colonists for incursions on Saturdays.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate issued a brief statement mentioning that Temple groups, alongside rabbis, heads of religious schools, Knesset members, and ministers in the Israeli government, have united in this call for action. The groups are advocating for the reopening of Al-Aqsa Mosque to allow colonists to enter the site on Saturdays, which they term as incursions.

The protest is scheduled to take place in occupied Jerusalem on Thursday, August 27, and is expected to draw significant attention given the involvement of prominent religious and political figures.
