Spain Condemns Violence by Israeli Colonists in Occupied West Bank

Nablus: The Spanish government strongly condemned violence carried out by Israeli colonists in the occupied West Bank, saying the continued attacks against Palestinians are being committed with impunity.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Spanish government issued a statement addressing the recent escalation of colonist violence, which included another indiscriminate attack resulting in the death of four Palestinian civilians. Madrid has called on the Israeli government to take necessary measures to de-escalate the situation and to ensure that those responsible for the attacks are brought to justice.

The Spanish government also urged Israel to halt its settlement expansion policies and to end the protection of those carrying out attacks against Palestinian civilians. It emphasized that Israel, as the occupying power in the Palestinian territory, is obliged to fulfill its legal responsibilities and take concrete steps to prevent further attacks.

Spain reaffirmed its commitment to the implementation of a two-state solution, stating it would continue to hold accountable all parties whose actions undermine the prospects and viability of achieving that solution.
